Sun 12th November 7.30pm Artsreach - Company Gavin Robertson presents Mata Hari:Female Spy
The Great War - while millions of men struggle and fight in the mud of the trenches, one woman's story begs to be told; that of Mata Hari, the most notorious female spy in history. Or was she? Using Mata Hari's own words, with acting, dance and live music, Katherine Mary gives a powerful portrayal of the world's first femme fatale. Dancer, lover, liar - and the victim of a set-up? From her upbringing in the Netherlands, to Indonesia, and the invention in Paris of her alter-ego, Mata Hari reflects on the events that led her to the firing squad 100 years ago this year.

Kathryn and Sean are one of the most popular and respected acts on the British Folk scene. Outstanding reviews have cemented their reputation as a driving force in modern English Folk and, performing to the highest standard on piano and guitar, the couple have twice been recognised as Best Duo at the BBC Folk Awards. Their live performance brings a feeling of inclusivity and informality whilst showcasing a variety of music from old traditional ballads to self penned songs.
