Studland Village Hall

Covid-19

From 19th July all legal restrictions and requirements regarding Covid-19 are lifted and the Village Hall, along with other public venues, is no longer required to demonstrate that it is Covid Secure in order to operate.  There are no restrictions on numbers or the types of activity permitted.

However, the Government is still asking us all to be careful and considerate of others who are using the Hall.  The onus now will be on whoever is in charge of the session to consider if any “Hands Face Space” measures would be a good idea, taking the Covid risk into account, for example:

  • the age and vulnerability of people attending
  • the degree to which people attending have been double vaccinated
  • the number of people attending
  • the incidence of Covid-19 cases in the local area
  • the degree to which the people attending know each other
  • whether the general public are admitted

Please comply with any requests that the organiser of the session asks of you.  This could include, for example:

    • Keeping the windows and doors open and having regular breaks
    • Wearing of masks in certain situations (you may wish to have a mask with you just in case)
    • Some form of social distancing where possible, especially at “pinch points”

Please also continue to use the hand sanitisers provided.  In particular, if you have, or have had within the last seven days, any Coronavirus symptoms or have tested positive or have been told to self-isolate please do not come to the Hall.

It is no longer a legal requirement for the details of everyone coming to the Hall to be recorded, but the Government is asking us to continue to display the QR code posters for anyone who wishes to continue to support NHS Test and Trace by checking into the Hall with their app.

There is more detail in the latest version of the Hall’s Covid Protocol which can be downloaded via this link: Covid Protocol for the Village Hall and Hirers

The Village Hall Trustee’s earlier Risk Assessment is also available to view here: Village Hall Risk Assessment

Please be aware that the Social Club (“Old Harry Bar”) is under separate management and has its own set of Covid procedures.
