The Village Hall Trustees have undertaken a Risk Assessment and put various measures in place in accordance with the Government Guidance for the safe use of multi-purpose community facilities.

The Village Hall is Covid-19 Secure and is open currently for all uses except:

  • Live Performances, including drama, comedy, music, choirs.
  • Social gatherings involving more than 30 people: including parties, wedding receptions, funeral wakes.

Indoor sport and exercise classes, as typically take place in a gym, sports venue or a fitness or dancing studio (including yoga and pilates) are only permitted from 25th July.

The Village Hall Management Committee and individual hirers are following a set of procedures laid out in the Hall’s Covid Protocol, but everyone can help keep the Village Hall Covid-19 Secure:

  • 1. You must not enter if you or anyone in your household has COVID-19 symptoms.
  • 2. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms within 7 days of visiting these premises alert Test, Track and Trace. Alert the organiser of the activity you attended and the Village Hall via contact us.
  • 3. Maintain 2 metres social distancing as far as possible.
  • 4. Use the hand sanitiser provided on entering the premises. Clean your hands often. Soap and paper towels are provided in the toilets.
  • 5. Avoid touching your face, nose, or eyes. Clean your hands if you do.
  • 6. “Catch it, Bin it, Kill it”. Tissues should be bagged up and taken home. Then wash your hands.
  • 7. Check the organisers of your activity have cleaned door handles, tables, other equipment, sinks and surfaces before you arrived and when you leave.
  • 8. Take turns to use confined spaces such as corridors, kitchen and toilet areas.
  • 9. Keep the hall well ventilated. Close doors and windows on leaving.
  • 10. Follow the instructions of the person in charge of your session.

Please be aware that the Social Club (“Old Harry Bar”) is under separate management and has its own set of Covid procedures.
